Four years after starting as a Pets as Therapy volunteer, Lyndsey decided it was time to study and follow her passion for Animal Assisted Intervention.  In November 2016, after three visit to the USA and 355 contact hours of study she completed the course at the Institute for Human Animal Connection at the University of Denver, Colorado.  Studying the human animal bond in its many forms was both educational and inspiring.  Her partnership with our dogs in Animal Assisted Intervention at Southampton Children’s Hospital will certainly benefit thanks to the depth of knowledge gained in all areas from animal ethics, governance, canine body language and protocols for healthcare, therapy and educational AAI.
